On the road again!

Meet Braxton Hulon Carter!!

Nana & all her grandbabies! (laughs courtesy of Uncle Chris!)

Nana, her babies and her grandbabies!

Baby A loves her Papa Murphy...and I think he likes her a little too!

Loved seeing these 3 play so good together!!

My Mom called me on Tuesday night & said that my sister was in labor (a month early!) with my newest little nephew. I teasingly told Chad I could take the kids & drive all night & be there before she had the baby. Of course, he wouldn't let me do that & I didn't really expect him to. However, the next morning he said 'you can go see your family today!' HA! I hadn't even thought of the possibility of going by MYSELF with the kiddos. We were planning a trip down the end of June anyway. So I agonized over it for hours. Should I really attempt a 10 hour drive with 3 kids all by myself? Would I have any sanity left once I got there? Would I even make it there...I can get lost in the back yard... In the end, I decided I needed to be brave & give it a try...after all I had lots of catching up to do with my nieces & nephews!

The trips down & back were not too bad & my trusted 'Garmie' gave me (mostly!) good directions. (I'm sure it had way more to do with all the people praying for our safety!) Thank you Lord for safe travels! My sweet Kaylee Grace was a HUGE help in keeping Baby A happy for the trip.

We got to visit Desirae & Braxton in the hospital, attend a birthday party for my 1 year old nephew who I had never met & my niece turning 3 who I had only seen once....& to top all that off, it was also my Momma's birthday! Trevor had a blast with his cousin Colbi who is also 5. Then we got to spend a day fishing with Gran & Papoo. Kaylee caught a big bass & got to 'shave' (scale) it too! And we visited our Granny in Georgia on the way home. We made lots of great memories! We have some more catching up to do. Another nephew we didn't see, a niece on the way & lots & lots of cousins, aunts & uncles to visit & catch up with...can't wait to see all of you!
Baby A meets Papoo for the first time!
Holding baby Braxton......

You can't tell from the pictures, but Braxton has more hair than Avery!

Keeping Braxton company while he was under the lamp....
My Papa Murphy & his newest little great grandbaby!

Shayli, Kaylee & Colbi
Avery sharing her puffs with Bryson...

Princesses Shayli, Kaylee & Bailey
Kaylee liked fishing way more than I though she would...as long as Gran baited the hook & took care of all the fish!

Trevor really liked it too...but he also liked driving the toy trucks through the mud & helping Papoo drive the truck around the pasture. This is a picture of his first fish he caught, but it's hard to see...it blends in with the dirt.

Even Avery liked fishing...ok, so we didn't catch much because she couldn't decide if she wanted to fish or chew on the pole!
I wanted a picture of Kaylee with her huge fish, but she wasn't so sure about holding it!
She called this 'shaving' her fish!
Trevor 'shaved' his fish too....
Averyanna with Aunt Becca & Baby Layla
Trevor had a blast driving around the yard with Uncle Jeremy....who says we better watch out when it's time for Trevor to drive :0

dancin' the night away.....

  2. I am thankful Debbie told me about your blog. So fun to still be a part of your family. Thank you for sharing. We rode our bikes by your ID home the other day. It is quiet but whoever you have taking care of it is doing a great job. Missed saying HOWDY to you all.
