we made it!!

Home sweet home in Hanahan South Carolina!
A very full truck! This was after the mattresses came out too!
....and finally a empty truck again! I was so glad to get that monster of a truck out of our driveway! I'm pretty sure the neighbors were glad to see it go too.

We made it to our new home on Monday afternoon. Gran (Chad's Mom) arrived to help us unload the truck less than an hour after we got here. The truck was unloaded by Tuesday afternoon & we all went out to eat together. Gran & Lucas left Wednesday morning for Florida & the fun of unpacking & cleaning begins.....If it can be killed with bleach & softscrub, then it no longer resides in this house! Chad began work this week on Monday...with a cold. We are all loving the weather & enjoyed our first thunderstorm here yesterday. We also celebrated being settled in with a healthy supper of hot dogs, baked beans, chips & s'mores!

Kaylee & Trevor were good helpers unloading the truck

This is what I found behind the stove....

I wasn't sure how living in a neighborhood-y area would be, but we live in a great subdivision. It's quiet & nice here. We've met a few neighbors so far. There's a little boy who's 8 that lives a couple of houses down. He came over while we were unloading the truck & asked to borrow practically everything we own! Trevor just thinks he's great. He's been telling Trevor & Kaylee how to make 'bombs' with coke bottles & mints....nice. I'm thankful for a fenced in back yard & missing our non bomb making friends! Right next door is a pastor & his wife & 3 houses down is a police officer & his family. They have a teenage daughter & a little boy who's the same age as Trevor. They enjoy playing together & as far as I can tell is a little more 'controlled' than our bomb making buddy. We haven't met any little girls for Kaylee to play with yet & she's missing her friends from Idaho. I'm hoping once we find a church that she will find some friends. You KNOW you've arrived in the south when you see this! Is it wrong that it made me feel totally at home!?

The weather has been wonderful. I'm loving seeing the kids in shorts & short sleeves! Baby A is just so precious with her chubby little arms & legs! Kaylee & Trevor have been enjoying playing in the back yard. We have a little coy pond (minus the coy) out there & they've been using the water to make mud pies, biscuits, cakes & all kinds of goodies for Chad, Avery & I to taste. They are also enjoying the lizards & squirrels we have here.

boys will be boys..........and girls will be girls!

this was one tired boy!
Chad gets home from work before 4 each day...sigh...sooo nice! We've been walking in the afternoons after supper & the kids ride their bikes. On one of our trips out & about we found a trail to walk that had a pond.....& a gator!

Traffic is ....well, not exactly what we are used to. It's busy & a little overwhelming to me, but I think I'm getting the hang of it..maybe!

We really haven't been out too much, other than to run errands & do the necessary things of life. There is shopping galore here. There is a Wal-Mart even closer than the one we lived by in Sandpoint...& it's bigger! There's Target, Toys R Us, a mall....tons of stuff & that's all within a couple of miles!

This is our fenced back yard. There is this one little sandy spot under the tree that the kids love to play in.

Trevor is helping Daddy hang the last of the things on the wall. Love this kiddo!

the kids think it's great to have a attic!

Kaylee was pulling Trevor down the stairs on this huge piece of fabric. I foresee broken bones in our future! But just look at Trevor's face...could he be any happier?

ok, so maybe he's happy here too...but I felt like he was breaking MY bones! Although, I was laughing too hard to get him to stop.

love my girls!

just look at those eyebrows!

Here are a few pictures of what the inside of the house looks like...

this is the HUGE upstairs playroom/guest room. The kids love having an upstairs to play in.

  4. It looks wonderful and homey and WARM! So so happy for you. The thought of taking a WALK AFTER dinner sounds so heavenly. Having hubby home that early, and it being nice enough to go out and do that. Ahh. So glad you finally are there :-).
