Seems like these last couple of weeks have just flown by! It's been a crazy, sleep deprived whirlwind of homeschooling, packing, cleaning & taking care of business here & finding a rental in South Carolina. We picked up the U-Haul last night at 9:30 & tonight (after some awesome help from friends!) I sit in a very empty house!
As I've packed there have been floods of memories...sleep deprivation induced, I'm sure! We moved to Sandpoint (to a little house we rented just next door) in June of 2003. I was very pregnant with Miss Kaylee Grace. She was born in that little house. I have so many fun memories of us there. Then we bought this house in March of 2005 & shortly after....after painting the entire house...found out I was pregnant with Trevor. The paint fumes only slightly affected him, don't worry...he only sleeps with a can of paint! ;) He & Baby A were both born in this house with our awesome midwife Denise, who barely got to us in time to catch Kaylee when we lived next door. It's not new information to anyone that I'm not a fan of winters (all 9 months of it!) here in North Idaho. I am so looking forward to some warmth & sunshine & I should be getting it soon! 98 degrees & 90% humidity...bring it on! I'm a little worried about my little North Idaho children who think it's roasting hot when it's 70 out. Hopefully they will adjust quickly. I'm also looking forward to being closer to our family in Florida & getting to spend more time with them. I have a nearly 1 year old nephew I've never met & a nephew & niece both to arrive in early June. Not to mention that no one (other than my mom & 1 sister) have met our newest addition.
It's been hard to say goodbye to so many memories & precious friends here. Today after church we had a farewell lunch & a wonderful time with friends. We came home & didn't expect to get much loading done this afternoon. And like I said....some awesome friends & 4 hours later, my house was empty! Only a few more things to wrap up here in the next couple of days.
Now, I've put all the little ones to bed...the tiniest one twice now... hopefully for the night this time. So, off to try & get some much needed rest.
Thank you to all our North Idaho friends! We love you all & cherish the memories we've made with you here.....
Pictures to come in the next post...& hopefully some fairly boring stories of traveling across the U.S with all our belongings & rambunctious kiddos in tow.....
What a gorgeous picture. What a sweet family. We are selfishly sad that you are leaving, but rejoice with you to be nearer to your families. May God truly bless you.
ReplyDeleteToo bad that night of much needed rest didn't happen :-(. But,hey there's a whole long road ahead made for resting on, right?! Going to miss you bunches but really could not be more excited for you! And so so happy to have you a part of our lives!
ReplyDeleteWhere did the time go ?? Watching our kids grow together, it seems like just yesterday they were born. Such a great day loading the truck ! It was fun to watch the kids run around and enjoy each other ! Sooooooooo many memories...so thankful for the season the Lord has us together !
