
Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what God has done! I keep singing this over & over to myself & thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for...otherwise I'm sure I'd go completely crazy! It's March now & it's STILL snowing here. I think it's especially hard this time of year because March 'should' be the start of Spring. A couple of weeks ago I could see ground/grass shining through in spots around the yard. I was so excited & so hopeful that Spring would be just around the corner. Then we had a blizzard & lots of snow. So, counting my blessings it is! I do have so very much to be thankful for....much more than I could ever deserve. Among the top of my list is: My wonderful husband & kids, Kaylee & Trevor not minding the cold & snow, Avery's precious little smiles, a warm home...the list goes on & on. So these things are what I ponder to *try* and get me through the gray, dreary, snowy days here!
Philippians 4:8 Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
Updates on the kiddos:
Averyanna (aka Baby A) is now 5 months old & continues to be a total joy & 'our little sunshine', as we like to call her. She started eating solid food this past week, which we're having fun with! I found a great site online & have been making my own baby cereal. She's rolling over both ways & all over the living room floor! She's not a big fan of going to sleep or getting dressed.
Trevor is learning to be a great big brother & is a lot of help! He's doing great in school & learned to add this week. He follows me around the house & constantly adds things for me. It goes something like this "Mommy, if you have 3 & you add 2 more to it, you have 5, right!!" He's getting ready for warmer weather & talks a lot about riding the ranger & climbing trees outside & tells me that he wants to "climb the big tree with shorts, a short sleeved shirt & his gloves on."
Kaylee is a huge help, both with Avery & with the house. She loves to help me take care of Avery. She's doing great in school too & is super excited about being done! We use a curriculum that goes through 10 workbooks in each subject & we're finishing up workbooks 7 this week. She is super excited to have "only 3 more to go!!" She's a little math whiz & has really taking a liking to reading lately. So much so that she stands over my shoulder & reads all my emails & facebook updates...so be careful! ;)
